The destination for this trip was in the sky. We came out to Oregon to catch the solar eclipse in the wild. I honestly didn't think it'd be anything special and maybe not even worth the drive, but being out in nature made it an otherworldly experience. Expectations exceeded.

We had this lake all to ourselves, minus all the frogs. (1 of 9)

And the occasional tiger beetle. The sandy beach made for perfect habitat. (4 of 9)
